1852 Fiber Mill

1852 Fiber Mill started with an opportunity to do what we dreamed of from 2012 when in fashion school, 'How to make fashion and farming come together'.

Our choose in naming our company 1852 Fiber Mill comes from our property that the 'Breakaway Lake' that sprawled on our north property till 1852 when it broke away one early morning leaving just the lake bed. In happenstance my Grandparents bought our farm one hundred years later in 1952. We are root orientated and honor both the past and the future in a place of harmony.

Starting with Five ewes and slowly growing our small flock in four years, we gotten an opportunity to expand to a fiber Mill. We have Southdown and Suffolk mix, along with purebred Icelandic and Scottish black nose. Our flock has the option of being in or outside and spend as much time as they wanted frolicking; our lambs are usually born May or June.

We shear our sheep in the spring, and we use their fleece for the products we make ourselves.

Opening up the mill in my Grandfather's milking parlor that he built in the 1950's we have made a lot of changes to make it into a mill.

We are opening our Mills doors early 2026, we welcome any size of fleece amount and a variety of fibers that is in need of processing; to batts, or roving's, felted sheets or core spun Yarn. We hope to expand with more options for processing in the future.
